the short version

we only collect what we need to run the store and talk to you. we don't sell your data.

who we are

this store is run by Doors to Other Dimensions, a sole proprietorship based at Uniworld City, New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, India – 700156.

what we collect

  • orders: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and what you bought.
  • payments: handled by Razorpay. we get confirmation of payment and limited details (like the payment method type), never your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
  • contact form: your name, email, phone (optional) and message. messages sent through our contact form are emailed to us and saved in our Shopify admin. sending a message also creates a customer profile for you in our store.
  • browsing: Shopify and our site use cookies and similar technology to keep your cart working, remember preferences and see how the site is used.

how we use it

  • to process, ship and support your order
  • to answer your messages
  • to send order and shipping updates
  • to send drop news and marketing emails, only if you sign up
  • to prevent fraud and meet legal and tax requirements

who we share it with

only the services we need to run the store:

  • Shopify: hosts our store and stores order, customer and contact form data
  • Razorpay: processes payments
  • our courier partner: gets your name, address and phone number to deliver your order
  • authorities, if the law requires it

each of these handles your data under its own privacy policy. we don't sell or rent your personal data.

marketing emails

  • you'll only get drop and news emails if you opt in.
  • every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. you can also email us to be removed.
  • order and shipping emails still go out, since they're needed for your order.

how long we keep it

  • order records: as long as the law requires.
  • contact messages and customer profiles: until you ask us to delete them, unless we need them for an open order or the law requires us to keep them.

your choices and rights

under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • ask what data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • withdraw your consent to marketing at any time
  • raise a complaint with our grievance officer, Ren, at altea4friendsonly@gmail.com. we'll acknowledge it within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

security

we rely on Shopify's and Razorpay's security to store and process data. no system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access your information.

children

the store isn't meant for anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent.
